Hey, fellow riders! I've just landed in Australia, stepping right into the action-packed world of Ridge Rider IV (RR-IV), organized by Moto Trekkin. Coming from Christchurch, to dive into this epic motorcycle event feels like stepping into another world. It’s my first big rally since the Queenstown 2020 GS trophy, and with over 140 riders, I can say the vibe here is just as thrilling.

RR-IV offers a captivating route from Canberra to Coffs Harbour.

Over five days, we're venturing through the legendary Great Dividing Range. This event, designed specifically for adventurers, ensures every day is filled with new challenges and stunning landscapes.

Day one really put us to the test. Despite an early morning start, our crew was busy from 5 AM in the hotel’s underground car park, prepping bikes for the days ahead. Changing tyres for 88 bikes, particularly those with tricky tubes, tested our skills and patience, ensuring every participant was well-equipped for the rugged terrains ahead.

After a brief breakfast at 6:30 AM, we jumped right back into it, fitting tyres and running mechanical checks. Each bike had to pass through scrutineering to ensure riders’ safety.

For us crew members, our days are long, stretching late into the night, each task demanding precision and care. It’s tough, sure, but the sheer excitement of being part of such an incredible adventure makes every second worthwhile.

If you're drawn to the thrill of adventure riding, RR-IV offers a full-on adventure experience equipped with professional support, comfy places to stay, great food along the way and the chance to create lasting friendships.

Stay tuned for Part 2, where I’ll dive into the daily experiences and the unique challenges that make RR-IV an unforgettable adventure!
